ITHACA, N.Y. -- Fresh off an appearance in the NCAA Regional Finals, the Cornell men’s hockey team has added 10 newcomers to the roster, bolstering a veteran squad as Cornell tries to return to the Frozen Four for the first time since 2002-03. Mike Schafer, the Jay R. Bloom Head Coach of Men’s Hockey, announced the class that will enroll at Cornell and play hockey beginning with the 2009-10 season.

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Cornell University finished No. 59 in the final Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup standings that were released on Monday afternoon. The Big Red finished as the second-highest Ivy League school in the rankings, behind only Princeton, and ahead of nationally renowned athletic powers and major conference schools like Syracuse, Vanderbilt, North Carolina State, Boston College, Georgetown, Rutgers and Pittsburgh among others. In all, 271 Division I schools earned points toward the award, won by Stanford for the 15th straight year.
