ITHACA, N.Y. -- Surrounded by a couple thousand of its closest fans and a camera crew from CBS on Sunday afternoon, the Ivy League champion Cornell men's basketball team found out its first round opponent for next weekend's NCAA tournament. The Big Red will meet Temple on Friday, March 19 in Jacksonville, Fla., as the No. 12 seed in the East Region. Game time is expected to be announced on Monday.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – For the third consecutive season, the Big Red will be sending multiple fencers to the NCAA fencing championship on March 25 at Harvard. Senior Katherine Thompson (epee), freshman Addy McDonnell (epee), and freshman Beverly Yang (sabre) all earned their first trip to the tournament, while seniors Tasha Hall, Sallie Deitrich, and Dana Baines finished their impressive four-year careers with a strong showing as well.

ITHACA, N.Y. – For those who can’t make it to Ithaca, or were unable to get tickets to this evening’s Selection Show Watch Party, you can still be part of the excitement as the event will be broadcast on RedCast to subscribers, or on a pay-per-view basis. While broadcast rights will prohibit showing video of the actual CBS Selection Show broadcast, the RedCast production will feature the pre-show ceremony, including head coach Steve Donahue addressing the crowd, player introductions and a highlight video from Slope Media.

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Senior Blake Gallagher scored his 100th career point as the Cornell men's hockey team defeated Harvard, 3-0, to earn a spot in the ECAC Hockey semifinals next weekend in Albany, N.Y. The Big Red won the quarterfinal series against the Crimson, two games to none.

ITHACA, N.Y. – The Big Red women’s lacrosse team gave No. 17 Loyola all it could handle, but couldn’t steal the win, as the Greyhounds pulled off the 11-9 victory this evening at Schoellkopf Field. With the loss, Cornell falls to 2-3 on the season, while Loyola improves to 4-3 overall.
