ITHACA, N.Y. -- The 2009-2010 Cornell Men’s Basketball team won its third straight Ivy League Championship and set a record for most wins in one season by an Ivy League team. The Big Red finished the season ranked No. 17 in the final ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Poll Top 25 and advanced to the 2010 NCAA Tournament's Sweet Sixteen. The team also made national headlines and earned the respect and admiration of college basketball fans and experts around the world in the process. ITHACA, N.Y. – Coming off its third straight Ivy League championship and an appearance in the NCAA Sweet 16 in 2009-10, Cornell head coach Bill Courtney has announced five incoming recruits will join the Big Red basketball program in the fall of 2010. Junior Andrew Ferry and freshmen Jake Matthews, Manny Sahota, Dominick Scelfo and Dwight Tarwater will bolster a lineup that returns nine letter winners in a search of a fourth straight Ivy title.

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Fresh off the program's third consecutive Ivy League championship and first-ever NCAA tournament Sweet 16 appearance, the Cornell men's basketball team will face nine teams that reached the postseason last year during its 2010-11 schedule. Head coach Bill Courtney will open his first season as head coach when the Big Red opens the campaign at Albany on Friday, Nov. 12 at SEFCU Arena.

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Recent Cornell graduates Louis Dale and Jon Jaques have parlayed their basketball success for the Big Red into professional contracts, signing to play overseas this past week. Dale signed with German team BG Göttingen, while Jaques will head to Israel to play for Ironi Ashkelon. Classmates Ryan Wittman (summer contract with NBA's Boston Celtics and New York Knicks) and Jeff Foote (Maccabi Tel Aviv in Israel) signed professional contracts this past month to continue their basketball careers.
