Equestrian Team Has Strong Showing At Ivy Championships

The Big Red equestrian team traveled to Etna, N.H., over the weekend to compete in the Ivy League Championships. The team won the reserve championship title behind only Dartmouth, while finishing ahead of Brown, Yale, Princeton, Penn and Columbia.

Tan Earns Spot At Nationals With Runner-Up Finish At Zone Championships

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Sophomore Charmaine Tan was the zone reserve champion in walk-trot to lead three Big Red equestrian riders at the 2010 IHSA Zone championships last weekend at Centenary College. She has punched her ticket to compete at the IHSA National Horse Show in May.

Three Big Red Riders Ready For Zone Championships

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Three Cornellians will compete at the 2010 IHSA Zone championships this weekend at Centenary College. Sophomore Katie Fink will compete in novice fences, junior Kelsey Craig will be in intermediate flat and sophomore Charmaine Tan will participate in the walk-trot event. The show will be held at Briarwood Farms in Readington, N.J. At zones, the top two individuals qualify to move onto the national finals.

Equestrian Team Advances Three To Zones

After traveling to Saratoga Springs for the Regional Championships this past weekend, the equestrian team advanced three riders to travel to Zones next weekend. Sophomore Katie Fink advanced in novice fences as a reserve champion, junior Kelsey Craig advanced in intermediate flat as a reserve champion and sophomore Charmaine Tan advanced in the walk trot event for third place.

Equestrian Competes In Regional Championships At Skidmore

ITHACA, N.Y. -- With a tremendous amount of momentum, the Cornell equestrian team will head into this weekend's Zone II Region 3 Championships at Skidmore College on Saturday, April 3, looking to bring home the championship Cup. The show will be held at the Van Lennep Riding Center with competition beginning at 8 a.m. in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

Equestrian Wins Skidmore Show With Late Burst

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- The Cornell equestrian team moved up from the middle of the pack and edged the host school in winning the Skidmore Show on Saturday afternoon. The Big Red scored 43 team points to top Skidmore (42) and Hartwick (40) at the top.
