ITHACA, N.Y. -- Seniors Horatio Blackman and Chris Costello have been elected by their football teammates as the permanent installed captains for 2009. The duo were the game captains for the season-opening 33-9 win over Bucknell and are members of the team's Leadership Council.

ITHACA, N.Y. -- For the third time this season, Cornell senior wide receiver Bryan Walters has been named Ivy League Special Teams Player of the Week. Walters continued to add onto his Ivy League kickoff and punt return yardage records on Senior Day for the Big Red, getting the home team back in the game before falling 30-20 to Columbia. Walters was previously named Ivy League Special Teams Player of the Week on Oct. 5 and 19, while Drew Alston was given the honor on Oct. 26. In all, Cornell football players have earned six weekly honors.

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Columbia senior quarterback M.A. Olawale scored a pair of second half touchdowns and the Lions settled the game down after a crazy start, winning a 30-20 decision over Cornell on the Big Red's Senior Day at Schoellkopf Field. The Lions improve to 3-6 (2-4 Ivy), while the Big Red slipped to 2-7 (1-5 Ivy) with the loss.

RedCast will broadcast audio of next weekend's season finale at Penn on Nov. 21.
