BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Cornell placed three gymnasts in individual event finals at the 2012 USA Gymnastics Women's Collegiate National Championships at Bridgeport and all three delivered with their final performances, each putting an exclamation mark on the season with All-America efforts. Reigning USAG national champion
Melanie Standridge finished second on beam, while
McKenna Archer placed third on vault.
Melanie Jorgensen tied for seventh on bars.

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Five Cornell gymnasts earned USAG All-America honors on their individual events and three advanced to Saturday's event finals on Thursday evening at Bridgeport University. Both Melane Standridge (beam) and
Melanie Jorgensen (bars) will attempt to repeat their 2011 USAG national titles, while
McKenna Archer (vault) will look for her first crown. Additonally,
Tiffany Chen and
Sarah Hein (vault) were named second-team All-Americans.

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Twelve Cornell gymnasts will begin their quests for individual crowns today when the Big Red opens competition at the 2012 USA Gymnastics Women's Collegiate National Championships at Bridgeport University. The gymnasts will compete during both sessions of the national semifinals, with the top 10 in each event qualifying for Saturday's individual finals.
