ITHACA, N.Y. -- A pair of Cornell men's squash players won a bronze medal representing Team Canada at the 2010 World Junior Team Championships earlier this month in Quito, Ecuador. Sophomore Arjun Gupta and freshman Nick Sachvie were both victorious in the decisive bronze-medal match for Canada against England.

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Three-time All-American Chris Sachvie and sophomore Alex Domenick shared the men's squash team's most valuable player award, while senior Rachel Wagner was named the women's squash team's most valuable player, as voted on by their teammates in the annual end-of-season awards. The teams also voted rising senior Jennifer Gemmell and rising junior Lauren Sachvie as captains for the women's team, while rising seniors McKay Claghorn and Pat Brady will share the captain honors for the men's squad.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Cornell men's squash team entered the 2010 Potter A Division championships as the sixth seed, and that's where they finished up after falling to Harvard in the consolation final on Sunday afternoon in New Haven, Conn. Cornell fell by a 7-2 margin that was far closer than the final score would indicate.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Cornell men's squash team swept the final four spots on the ladder and claimed a 7-2 victory over seventh-ranked Dartmouth to advance to the consolation finals of the CSA championships on Saturday evening. The Big Red will face Harvard on Sunday at 3 p.m. for fifth place in the final national rankings. Cornell is 10-6 this season after the win.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- No. 6 seed Cornell won matches at the third and eighth positions on the ladder, but No. 3 Rochester was too much for the Big Red in a 7-2 decision on Friday afternoon in the quarterfinals of the Potter Cup at the 2010 CSA Intercollegiate championships. The Big Red will meet No. 7 Dartmouth in the consolation rounds on Saturday at 6 p.m. in the tournament, being held by Yale.

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- The Cornell men's and women's squash teams both picked up a sweep over the weekend, downing Dartmouth on Saturday and scoring victories over Williams on Sunday. The women won both matches by 7-2 scores, while the men won Saturday, 6-3, and Sunday, 7-2.
