ITHACA, N.Y. -- Junior goaltender Ben Scrivens is among the 73 nominees for the Hobey Baker Award, presented annually to college hockey's top player. Fans can now vote for Scrivens in the first phase of voting, which continues through March 8.

Scrivens, one of the 73 college hockey players nominated by the individual schools, currently leads the country in goals-against average (1.27) and save percentage (.952). He has posted four shutouts in the first 15 games of the season and allowed more than two goals in a game just once.

Fans can cast their vote for Scrivens at http://hobeybaker.com/voting/, and can vote once per day. Fan voting makes up one percent of the total vote for the award, with votes from coaches and media members representing the other 99 percent. The 10 finalists for the award will be announced on March 19, with the top three finalists being announced on April 2 and the award presented at the Frozen Four on April 11.
