ITHACA, N.Y. -- Through 20 games of the Ivy League season, Cornell and Princeton posted identical 10-10 records to finish atop the Ivy League Gehrig Division, necessitating a one-game playoff to determine which team advances to the Ivy League Championship Series next weekend at Dartmouth. That one-game playoff will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Cornell's Hoy Field.
For fans who can't make it out to Hoy Field for Wednesday's tiebreaker game, live streaming video of the game will be available through the Cornell Redcast subscription service, with play-by-play duties handled by the sports staff at WVBR. Fans with either an all-sports subscription, a baseball subscription or a monthly subscription will be able to watch the game as part of their package, while single-day passes are also available. Additionally, live stats of the game will be available for fans to follow along.
Cornell will be the home team both on the scoreboard and in terms of batting order. With both Cornell and Princeton posting identical 8-4 records in the Gehrig Division and splitting the season series 2-2, the Big Red won the tiebreaker for hosting rights by virtue of its split against Brown, the runner-up in the Ivy League Rolfe Division, as both Cornell and Princeton dropped two games to Rolfe Division winner Dartmouth.
