ITHACA, N.Y. – Any Cornell University students that are interested in learning how to become a member of the Big Red men's heavyweight, men's lightweight or women's rowing teams are invited to attend an informational meeting at the Friedman Wrestling Center on Wednesday, August 25 at 5:00 p.m. The meeting should last approximately one-hour.

No experience is necessary to try out for the teams, but Cornell is looking for highly motivated individuals with athletic backgrounds who want to be part of a competitive Division I varsity sport. Last season, all three rowing squads ranked in the top 20 in the nation and all three squads had walk-on rowers in those boats.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, but are interested in rowing, register for PE 1575: Introduction to Competitive Rowing and email one of the coaches listed below about your interest in learning more.
