He was captain of the 1967-68 hockey team that compiled an overall record of 27-2, won the ECAC championship and placed third at the NCAAs. The two-time All-Ivy 1st team selection was an All-America and an All-ECAC Div. I first-team defenseman in 1968, while also being named to the All-ECAC Championship Tournament first team, when he tied an ECAC tournament record of six assists in three games, including four assists in a 7-2 win over BU in the semifinals. He was named to the NCAA All-Tournament team and was the NCAA tourney MVP in 1967, when Cornell went 27-1-1 and captured ECAC & NCAA titles; he scored the only goal in the 1-0 NCAA semifinal victory over North Dakota and had a goal and two assists in the 4-1 championship win over BU. Over his three-year career, he tallied 73 points on 24g, 49a.
