While the vocal support he's provided Big Red football from his seat in Schoellkopf's colonnade has been exuberant, Wolcott has quietly provided extraordinary financial support for Big Red Athletics since 1960. On several occasions during that time period, Cornell's Department of Athletics & Physical Education has been engaged in initiatives to bolster program endowment and to renovate and expand facilities. At each of these junctures, Wolcott made leadership gifts. In addition to being one of the Big Red's most generous benefactors, he has also provided wise counsel over the years. He served for many years on the Athletics Alumni Advisory Committee and was chair from 1986-1989. He is a life member of the Cornell University Council and a Presidential Councillor, the highest honor the university bestows upon an alumnus. Wolcott is the Chairman of Seneca Food Corporation, a publicly traded food processing company that he founded with his brothers in 1949. He and his wife Audrey are the parents of four Cornell children and two Cornell grandchildren. His son, Mark `83, played Sprint Football.
