A versatile athlete, she was a defenseman on the women's ice hockey team for three years. She served as tri-captain of the 1974-75 squad, which compiled a 12-2 record, and she finished third on the team in scoring (10-15-25). The team's MVP as a senior, she also rowed with the women's crew in 1973 and in 1974, the first year of varsity status for the sport at Cornell. During her senior year, she handled the publicity for women's sports for the University's sports information office. She also participated in field hockey and tennis. She is a native of Gates Mills, Ohio.
