As a freshman, he won four events (FX, vault, parallel bars and high bar) to win the Ivy League all-around championship and placed second in floor exercise at the NAGL championships. Named team MVP. Became only the second Cornellian to ever exceed the 50-point barrier in all-around competition. He was hampered by injuries during his sophomore year, but placed 5th in all-around at NAGL championships. As a junior, he set a NAGL record in winning the all-around with a 53.15 mark at the NAGL championships, where Cornell placed second. As a senior, he led Cornell to the Ivy title in winning the parallel bars (9.05) and high bar (8.6) and finished second in the all-around. Co-captain in 1985-86. He set Cornell team records in the all-around, floor ex and tied the vault mark.
