He was a member of the 1921 cross country team, considered the best cross country squad ever at Cornell, that won the Intercollegiate championship. Miske was the fifth-place finisher in that race, as the Big Red won six for the first nine places in the meet. He won the novice and University boxing championship at 145 and 158 pounds. Miske also played varsity basketball. As an undergraduate he resided in Waterbury, Conn.
