A stellar, hard-hitting hockey defenseman, he was named to the All-America first team in 1967, when Cornell won the NCAA championship. In addition, he was named to the NCAA All-Tournament team. A two-time All-Ivy and All-East first team selection, he was named to the ECAC Championship Tournament first team in 1966. He ranked third on the team in scoring as a sophomore, and compiled three-year stats of 26-71-97. He lettered as a midfielder in lacrosse in 1966 and helped Cornell win the Ivy championship. He scored 16 goals and had four assists for 20 points. As an undergraduate he resided in Port Credit, Ont.
