She was a four-time All-American on the basis of her performance at the NCAA track and cross country championships: 5th indoor mile 1991; 6th indoor mile 1992; 13th outdoor 1500 1991; 9th X-C championships 1991. The five-time All-East performer won the ECAC indoor mile in 1991, while finishing second in 1992. She won five individual Heps titles and seven as a member of Heps-winning relays and placed 2nd at the Heps X-C championships in 1990 and '91 to earn All-Ivy 1st team honors. She set Cornell records in the frosh indoor 800 and the 500m; and as a member of the 3200 relay & distance medley relay. She was a finalist for the NCAA Woman of the Year Award in 1992 and a two-time GTE Academic All-America first-team selection. Named the Ithaca Journal Female Athlete of the Year for 1992, she was captain of the '91 cross country team.
