Lacrosse All-America 1st team defenseman 1971. Honorable mention All-America 1970. Unanimous All-Ivy 1st team in '71; All-Ivy 2nd team 1970 and honorable mention in 1969. Recipient of Schmeisser Memorial Cup as nation's outstanding defenseman in Division I in 1971, when Cornell won NCAA championship and its third straight Ivy title. Tri-captain, 1971. Played freshman football and was a starting tight end and letterman in varsity football in 1970 (unable to play football as sophomore and junior because of injuries).
