She was a four-time All-American on the basis of her performance at the NCAA championships. She placed sixth at the NCAA cross country championships in 1991 and finished 12th in '92. She was seventh in the outdoor NCAA 5,000 in 1991 and was fourth in the 5,000 indoors in '92 to earn All-America honors. She was also a six-time Heptagonal champion, winning the individual Heps cross country title in both 1991 and '92 and the outdoor track Heps 5,000 in 1991 and '92. She was a two-time USA team member for the Junior World Cross Country championships, placing 23rd out of 124 runners and was the third American finisher in 1991, and she was the top U.S. finisher in placing 15th of 104 competitors in '92. Captain of the cross country team as a senior, she set the Cornell women's cross country record on New York's Van Cortlandt Park Course in 1991. She also set school records in the indoor and outdoor 5,000 meters. Hunt was a four-time All-East performer in placing fifth at the ECAC cross country championships in '91, fourth in '92 and seventh in '93, while also placing fifth in the outdoor 3,000 meters in '92. She was named the Ithaca Journal Female Athlete of the Year for 1991 and was one of Cornell's two cross country selections to the Women's Ivy League Silver Anniversary Team, celebrated in 1998-99. She was the recipient of the Richie Moran Red Key Society Leadership Award, given to the senior member of the Red Key Athletic Honorary Society who has particularly distinguished themselves on the field and in the classroom and is a leader. The Bloomsburg, Pa., native graduated from Central Columbia High School, where she was the SVC League champion in the 1600 and 3200 meters. She lives in Palo Alto, Calif.
