His selection as Ivy League Hockey Player of the Year in 1981 capped off an outstanding career for the right winger, who was a three-time All-Ivy first-team pick. He set Cornell's career goals scored record with a total of 113 and his 207 points rank him second on the all-time scoring list. He also established the career marks for power-play goals, hat tricks and games played in, and tied a school record by scoring goals in eight straight games. An All-ECAC second-team selection in 1979, he was co-captain of the Big Red as a senior and a tri-captain his junior year. His freshman year he was second team All-Ivy. Tredway was team MVP of the 1980 ECAC champions, and was the Cornell Sun Athlete of the Year in 1981. He was a two-year starter and letterman on the varsity soccer team, earning All-Ivy honorable mention honors in 1978 and helped the team to the Ivy title in 1977. He played professional hockey in the Los Angeles Kings farm system in the AHL following graduation. He is a native of Creek, Ont.
