Although she did not have the opportunity to compete in intercollegiate field hockey, she has been zealous in her support and promotion of field hockey through her service as well as participation. She ahs been on the Mideast I team continuously form 1960-85 and played on the Mideast II team in 1986. Selected to the U.S. first or second teams from 1960-74, she toured as a member of the U.S. team to Great Britain and Denmark in 1962; to France and England and played in the International Conference in New Zealand in 1970 and in Scotland in 1975. She has been a national umpire since 1977. Wilkins is a physics teacher and coach of field hockey at Brighton High School. In 1961, she was selected to the U.S. 2nd team in lacrosse.
