She rowed with the women's varsity crew from 1984-86, earning letters all three years, and she was with the novice crew as a freshman. She served as captain her senior year. She was a member of the U.S. National eight-oared crew which won a silver medal at the 1987 World Championships. She rowed in the U.S. Olympic eight in 1988, and with the U.S. National team pair in 1989. In 1990, she was a member of the U.S. eight and the U.S. pair and won a silver medal in both events at the World Championships. She was co-recipient of U.S. Rowing's Female Athlete of the Year Award in 1990.
