He was a three-time All-American as a lacrosse defenseman, earning second team honors in 1982, third team honors in 1981 and honorable mention in 1980. Daly was also a two-time All-Ivy first team pick (1981 and 1982). The 1982 team MVP, he was one of four captains of the 1982 team that finished third in NCAA tournament, compiled an 11-2 overall record, and won its third straight Ivy title.
