10/28/2021 12:00:00 PM

ITHACA, N.Y. – The Cornell women's rowing team continues its fall season on Saturday, Oct. 30, in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. for the 2021 Head of the Fish Regatta. Held on Fish Creek, the Cornell women's crew will travel eight boats to compete in four events.

Competing for the Big Red will be two varsity eight boats, three second varsity eight boats, one freshman eight boat and two varsity four boats.

"The main goal for this weekend's racing is to get some post-COVID race experience under our belts and identify key areas of improvement that need to be trained over the winter," Steve Coppola, the Staley Head Coach of the Women's Rowing, said. "We know there is a lot of rust to shake off as we look to continue the building process we started pre-COVID and this weekend is about measuring our entire team against top quality opponents so we can assess where the biggest gains in training can come from as we look ahead to spring racing."
