  • Sophomore Emily Pape has found her rhythm again, scoring double figures in seven consecutive games, including matching her career high (27) against Syracuse on Dec. 18. It is now the longest streak of double-digit performances for a Big Red athlete since Laura Bagwell-Katalinich '20 had 21 straight during the 2019-20 season.
  • Pape also has shot an impressive 52% from the field, secured 57 rebounds, and has swiped 16 steals over that same stretch.
  • Senior captain Kaya Ingram and freshman Rachel Kaus follow, tallying 138 and 111 points this season. Ingram is second on the team in steals (15) and assists (40).

GAME STORY I BOX SCORE

  • The Big Red had 32 points off 24 Lions turnovers but could not keep up with Columbia in an 82-53 loss on Saturday in Levien Gymnasium.
  • Sophomore Emily Pape netted her seventh-straight game in double figures with 19 points to go along with four rebounds. Pape also became the first player since Laura Bagwell-Katalinich in 2019-20 to record ten or more points in seven or more straight contests.
  • The underclassmen theme also continued for Clarke Jackson, as the freshman scored a career-high 10 points in the loss, the fifth straight for the Big Red against the Lions.
  • Cornell's Kaya Ingram scored the first basket of the game but the Big Red were playing catch up all night after that, shooting a combined 10-of-33 over the final three quarters.
  • The opening four minutes of the second quarter were a killer for the Big Red, as Columbia raced out to a 12-0 advantage and never looked back. A late push in the quarter by Jackson and Kaus put Cornell within seven, but that was as close as Cornell got.
  • Senior Abbey Hsu was one of four Lions in double figures with 20 points and eight rebounds, while Kitty Henderson followed with her third double-double of the season with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
