STREAKS, STORYLINES & SIDEBARS 

  • Cornell women's basketball will hit the road for the second-to-last time this weekend in a back-to-back against Harvard and Dartmouth.
  • The Big Red will face off against the Crimson on Friday, Feb. 16 at 6 p.m. before turning around to battle the Big Green on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 4 p.m.
  • Cornell was selected seventh in the Ivy League preseason media poll. Cornell finished 10-17 in the 2022-23 season, ending at seventh in the Ancient Eight. The Big Red tallied a road win over Brown and a sweep over Dartmouth in conference play.
  • Freshman Azareya Kilgoe has been the hot hand as of late for Cornell, scoring double figures in the last three games. The Delaware product scored a team-high 17 against Yale while also shooting over .500 from the field, earning co-Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors with Penn's Ese Ogbevire.
  • Senior Kaya Ingram (208) and sophomore Emily Pape (207) have also eclipsed the 200-point mark this season. Kilgoe is not too far behind, needing 35 over the final six games to hit that milestone.

  • The Big Red got used a late fourth-quarter push to cut its deficit to four, but could not get any closer as Yale squeaked out a 66-59 win on Saturday, Feb. 10 from Newman Arena.
  • Cornell was led by freshman point guard Azareya Kilgoe, who tallied 17 points on 7-for-13 shooting from the field. The rookie also accounted for two rebounds, two assists, a steal, and a block. Kaya Ingram was the other Big Red athlete to hit double figures, notching 15 points and a team-high six assists. 
  • The Big Red's offense turned it on in the second half, shooting 15-of-28 (.535) while shooting 42.6% overall, making it the eighth time this year Cornell has shot north of 40 percent. 
  • The Bulldogs had three players in double-figures, led by an 18-point, five-rebound performance from Jenna Clark. Brenna McDonald followed with 14 points on a 6-of-10 shooting performance from the field, while Kiley Capstraw rounded out the trio with 12 points. Nyla McGill led the Bulldogs with six boards alongside game-highs in assists (7) and steals (6).
