Biography
At Cornell:Mike is a true team leader who always works hard, represents Cornell with honor and never gives up. Coming back from an ACL injury and mono, Laycob has made himself fitter than ever. He uses his forehand and serve to take control of the points. Mike was a semifinalist at the Cornell Indoor Invitational last fall. As a frosh, he went 7-1 at Nos. 3-6 and won the Yale Invitational D singles. He is a member of the Sphinx Head Society, the Red Key Athletic Honorary Society and the Student-Athlete Advisory Council. Mike is a student in the College of Arts and Sciences.
At Burroughs:
Laycob was a four-year letter winner in tennis and won two additional letters in football at John Burroughs School. He was the Missouri state singles champion in 1999, while also leading Burroughs to the team title that spring.

Michael D. Laycob is the son of Lee and Suzan Laycob and has a younger sister. Born: 9-7-80.
