At Brunswick School
Atwell was a four-year letter winner at the Brunswick School and led his crew to the New Jersey state championships in 2006. He also lettered three times in hockey and twice in cross country.

Andrew Jeffries Atwell is the son of Wayne and Sharon Atwell and he has an older brother and sister. He is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
