A former US Junior National Team coach, Denne joined the Big Red amidst the 2016-17 season. He helpied the women's team capture seventh at the Howe Cup and the men's team end up in fourth place at the Hoehn Cup to finish 12th nationally. Michèle Garceau '18 and Margaux Losty '18 were both named to the CSA All-America second team following the season.
Prior to his arrival at Cornell, Denne was the squash professional and manager of Buffalo Tennis & Squash Club. He has also held director, professional and/or managerial roles at the Cleveland Racquet Club, Missouri Athletic Club, The Kiva Club.
Denne served as US Junior National Team coach from 2001-2005, then coached the United States' Boys U15 team in the Battle of the Border competition in 2005-06 against Canada. He also served as the director of junior development at the Birmingham Athletic Club and squash director of MetroSquash Urban in Chicago.
On the Professional Squash Association Tour, Denne held a world ranking as high as 101st. He remains a member of the Copa Wadsworth Team, having served as a captain in 2010 and 2014.
