CAMBRIDGE, MA.-The Cornell men's squash team came out of a road trip with a win and a loss at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard, respectively this weekend. The Big Red was blanked 9-0 by Harvard, the 2001 Ivy League Champions, but came back to beat MIT by the same score.

The Big Red, 3-2 overall and 1-2 in the Ivy League, suffered a 9-0 loss to Harvard without winning a game in any of the matches.

Cornell turned it around to defeat MIT, winning all of the matches by a score of 3-0. Junior Jeff Porter (Haverford, Pa.) played a strong game in the No. 4 spot, beating MIT's Tyler Horton 9-0, 9-1, 9-0. Sophomore Geoff Fong (Willowdale, Ont.) won by the same margin in the No. 9 spot to close it out for Cornell.

The Big Red returns to action next Sunday, December 9 when it hosts Franklin and Marshall at 11 am.
