ITHACA, N.Y. -- Stony Brook University junior Krisha Zagura found the top of the goal with 3:29 left in regulation to send the contest into what would be a scoreless overtime as the Cornell women's soccer team earned its second 1-1 tie in as many games.

Sophomore Brittany Norwood assisted on Zagura's first goal of the season as the Seawolves earned the draw to move to 0-5-2 on their 2001 season.

Cornell senior Erica Olson started off the scoring 5:32 into the second half with a ten-yard strike to the upper right corner of the net. Junior Cailin Rice assited on the goal. That was all Cornell could muster on the day as Stony Brook goalkeeper Lori Nelson made five saves. Nelson's counterpart, Cornell's Katie Thomas, had a career-high 17 saves.

Each team had good opportunites to score in the two overtime sessions, but key defensive plays on both sides prevented game-winning goals in the afternoon battle at Berman Field.

Stony Brook came up with 27 shots while Cornell had 16. The Seawolves also held a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Cornell's record moves to 2-1-2 after the tie and will return to action Wednesday in a 4 p.m. matchup at Binhamton University.
