ITHACA, NY - The Big Red women's squash team went head to head this afternoon with last year's Ivy League Champions, falling to the Harvard Crimson by a score of 9-0. Harvard's strong ladder, boosted by several talented freshmen, proved to be too much for Cornell. The Big Red lost all of their matches by a score of 3-0.

The highlight of the match came at the No. 5 spot as freshman Allison Laycob (St. Louis, Mo.) gave Hilary Thorndike some competition, battling back in the third game to tie the score at 8. After two long rallies with Thorndike, Laycob eventually fell in the third by a score of 10-8, losing the match 3-0.

The Big Red's next competition is scheduled for January 9th, when they travel to Canada to take on Western Ontario.
