Men's Squash Shuts Out Hobart

Geneva, N.Y. - The Cornell Men's Squash team was victorious over Hobart Friday night by a score of 9-0, ending their 5 game losing streak and bringing their record to 6-7.

Cornell started off with a win in the No. 1 spot by junior Tim Nagel (Toronto, Ont.) and continued with wins from junior Neal Soo (Pokfulam, Hong Kong) and senior Darryl Chow (Repulse Bay, Hong Kong) in the Nos. 2 and 3 spots respectively, both by a score of 3-0.

The team closed out the match with strong wins by junior Shloka Melwani (Bombay, India) and senior Chad Burkhardt (Malvern, Pa.), who both won 3-0 in the Nos. 8 and 9 spots, respectively. Melwani allowed Hobart's Andrew Hunt only 1 point (9-1, 9-0, 9-0).

The Big Red returns to action on Sunday, February 3, when it takes on Navy at 10am at the Belkin International Squash Courts.
