AMHERST, Mass. - The Cornell women's squash team battled to defeat Amherst 5-4 on Friday evening. The Big Red earned wins at the top and middle parts of its lineup to earn the victory. It was the team's second win of the season.

Caitlin Russell won at the No. 1 position by a 3-1 score and was followed by Cory Warfield at the No. 2 spot with a 3-0 win. Brooke Stetson had one of the night's longest matches at No. 3, but came out on top 3-2.

Anna Beavis and Margo Dickson also won at the No. 5 and 6 positions with 4-1 and 3-0 scores, respectively.

The Big Red returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 24, in matches at Dartmouth and Williams College.
