The Cornell women's squash team traveled to Princeton, N.J. Friday to compete in the Howe Cup national women's squash championships. The Big Red met William Smith, which Cornell defeated last week, in the first round and won, 9-0, to advance to Saturday's play.

Last Thursday, the Big Red, seeded tenth, met William Smith in Gevena, N.Y. and defeated the team by the same 9-0 score. Friday was more of the same, as Cornell dominated William Smith up and down the ladder in the Kurtz bracket of the Howe Cup National Championships.

The win advances the women to the second round, where they will face eleventh seeded Amherst, which the Big Red defeated in a close 5-4 match on January 21. Amherst downed Colby, 7-2, earlier Friday. The match will get underway at 4:30 Saturday at the Jadwin Courts.
