Women's Squash Advances To Kurtz Cup Final With 6-3 Win

PRINCETON, N.J. -- The Cornell women's squash team used a 6-3 win over Amherst to advance to the Kurtz Cup Finals on Saturday afternoon at Princeton. The Big Red used its depth, winning in the final four spots on the ladder to earn the triumph.

The Big Red captured wins at No. 2 and No. 3 and both Cory Warfield and Brooke Stetson captured 3-0 victories. The Big Red closed out victories with wins from No. 6-9, including a comeback win by Claire Zipf at No. 7. Zipf dropped a 10-9 first set only to recover with three consecutive wins to guarantee the Big Red's victory.

Cornell will face Bates College, a 7-2 winner over St. Lawrence, in the final of the Kurtz Cup tomorrow at 1 p.m.
