ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell women's squash team won its second consecutive match, topping Bowdoin 6-3 on Friday evening at Yale University. The Big Red improved to 2-3 on the season by dominating the middle of the ladder, winning every match from No. 2 to No. 7.
After freshman Maxi Prinsen dropped a tight 3-1 contest at No. 1, classmate Alex Cornett began the victory march with a 3-0 sweep at No. 2. Also earning 3-0 wins were Cory Warfield, Mairin Barnes, Allison Laycob and Alix Watson. Jamie Singer rallied from down a game to top Jackie Deysher at No. 7, 3-1, to cinch up the team win.
Cornell will be back in action tomorrow when it faces No. 1 Yale.
