CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Freshman Kelly Murphy made 11 saves, including eight in the second half, but the Cornell women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 contest to Harvard on Saturday afternoon at Ohiri Field in Cambridge, Mass.

Harvard got what would turn out to be the game-winner in the 10th minute as the Big Red defense knocked the ball into its own goal. That would be the only scoring of the half as Cornell would trail, 1-0, at the break.

In the second half, the Crimson got two late goals just over a minute apart as they provided the insurance needed to seal the win. Christina Hagner tallied a header off a corner kick, and then assisted on Katherine Sheeleigh's goal 1:11 later.

Murphy stopped 11 of the 14 shots the Crimson put on goal in the contest, while Harvard goalkeeper Lauren Mann made six stops for the shutout victory.

The Big Red returns home on Saturday, taking on Yale in a 4:30 p.m. contest at Berman Field as the first game of a doubleheader with the Cornell men.
