ITHACA, N.Y. - The Big Red women's polo team will attempt to continue its undefeated start when it battles defending national champion Virginia on Saturday, Oct. 31, at 2 p.m. at the Virginia Polo Center. The two teams will meet in a rematch of last year's national title game, won by the Cavaliers at home 19-17 to spoil Cornell's undefeated season.

Cornell opens the contest with a perfect 2-0 record after outscoring Massachusetts and Yale 66-7 in its first two matches of the season. It will be a much bigger challenge against the Cavaliers, who have split the last 18 meetings with Cornell since the 2004-05 campaign. Overall, the Big Red leads the series 82-26-2.

Lizzie Wisner has 27 goals in the two Big Red victories, including 17 in the opener against UMass. Four other players have seven goals each, with Kayleigh Sullivan, Ali Hoffman, Jessica Cross and Claire Glashan each hitting that mark.
