ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell women's polo team continued its unbeaten run to start the season with a 20-3 win at Harvard on Friday evening.
Erin Bold scored seven times in the final three chukkers to lead all scorers.
The Big Red started the game with Jess Cross,
Lizzie Wisner, and
Ali Hoffman in the saddle. It was as cool afternoon and Cornell took the early 2-1 lead and never looked back as it led 6-1 after the first chukker.
Kate Harkness,
Claire Glashan, and
Erin Bold came in for the second and increased the lead
to 10-2 at the half. The same trio stayed up for the second half and continued to expand the lead and bring home their first victory of this two game traveling weekend by a 20-3 margin. Wisner scored four times, Glashan and Harkness scored three times, Hoffman tallied twice and the ponies scored once.
The Big Red will face Connecticut on Sunday, Nov. 8 at 2 p.m.
