Women's Soccer Closes Out Season With Loss At Dartmouth

HANOVER, N.H. -- The Cornell women's soccer team closed out its 2009 campaign with a 2-0 loss at Dartmouth on Saturday night at Burnham Field in Hanover, N.H. Dartmouth scored a pair of goals in the first half and held on through the second for the win.

Dartmouth (11-7, 5-2 Ivy League) got the game-winning goal in the 24th minute when the ball went in the goal off a Cornell defender. The Big Green added an insurance tally in the 33rd minute when Becky Poskin took a ball from Kelsey Quick on the right side and slotted a shot past Cornell goalkeeper Megan Bartlett into the left side of the net.

Dartmouth out-shot the Big Red, 15-4, for the match, with Bartlett picking up six saves and the defense recording another pair for Cornell (1-13-1, 0-7 Ivy). Dartmouth goalkeeper Colleen Hogan stopped a pair of shots for the shutout in net for the Big Green
