Matt Bouraee scored his first goal of the season as the Cornell men's soccer team picked up a 1-1 tie with Canisius on Friday night in Buffalo, N.Y. The draw evens the Big Red's record at 1-1-1 on the year, while Canisius is now 0-3-1on the season.

Will Zahn ripped a shot at the Canisius goal, a shot that was stopped by Griffins netminder Adam Miller, but the rebound came off to Bouraee, who buried the equalizer to send the game into overtime.
Both teams got off a pair of shots in the first overtime, while Canisius got off a single shot in the second period, with Brody picking up the save. The junior goalkeeper finished the game with six saves, while his counterpart Miller stopped seven shots in the contest.
Cornell held a 19-14 edge in shots taken, though Canisius had a slim 7-6 lead in corner kicks, with four of the Griffins' kicks coming in the two overtime periods.
Cornell returns to action on Sunday with the 2009 home opener, taking on St. Bonaventure in a 4 p.m. contest at Berman Field, following the women's game against Manhattan at 1 p.m.
