Mike Grey and Mack Lewnes won by major decision, while Frank Perrelli picked up a win by forfeit at 125 pounds. Cornell also earned victories from Kyle Dake, Corey Manson and Cam Simaz. The Big Red will face Maryland at 9 a.m. CT on Sunday morning.

The Big Red took a quick 6-0 lead when Perrelli received a win by forfeit at 125 pounds.

At 133 pounds, Grey came out strong against the Tiger's Nathan McCormick. Grey earned three takedowns and grabbed a three-point nearfall on his way to a 13-2 major decision.

No. 5 ranked Dake increased Cornell's lead to 13-0 when he won his third match of the day with a 6-1 decision over Todd Schavrien. Dake earned two takedowns in the first period, and notched a point from Schavrien's stalling and riding time.

At 149 pounds, Corey Manson earned three more points for Cornell. Manson edged Cody Farinella out by a 5-4 decision.

John Basting was scoreless against the Tigers' Patrick Wright at 157 pounds. Wright escaped from his starting down position, but Basting took the lead with a takedown. Basting was hit with his second stall warning in the third and with 1:10 in riding time, Wright won a 3-2 decision.

No. 6 ranked Nick Marable came out quick against No. 12 Justin Kerber. Marable earned four takedowns on his way to a 12-3 major decision over Kerber.

At 174 pounds, No. 2 Mack Lewnes took on No. 9 Dorian Henderson. Lewnes took charge from the start of the whistle and took Henderson down at the edge of the mat. Lewnes immediately started to try and turn Henderson but the Tigers' wrestler muscled his way back. Lewnes changed grips and worked Henderson to earn three back points. The Big Red wrestler chose to start the second period down on the mat and quickly twisted out for an escape. Lewnes and Henderson scrambled and the Big Red wrestler came out on top to take an 8-1 lead. Henderson chose to start the third down on the mat and quickly got to his feet and spun himself free. Lewnes earned a takedown with time running out, and with riding time he won an 11-1 decision.

At 184 pounds, No. 14 Steve Bosak faced No. 3 Max Askren. Bosak started off strong against the Tigers' senior and shot in looking to grab Askren's leg. The two wrestlers scrambled and Askren came out on top. Bosak and Askren traded chances back and forth throughout the match, but Askren continued to use his experience to come out on top. The Missouri wrestler won an 11-3 major decision over the Cornell freshman.

Sophomore No. 7 Cam Simaz took on No. 13 Brent Haynes at 197 pounds. After the referee brought the two wrestlers back to the center, Simaz made a quick shot after the whistle and converted to a takedown to grab a 2-0 lead. Haynes twisted his way to a reversal and had Simaz in a cradle looking for the pin. Simaz muscled his way back to the mat to avoid giving up back points to Haynes. Simaz reversed his opponent with 15 seconds left in the period to take a 4-2 lead into the second. Haynes chose to start the second down, and Simaz tried to use his leg to turn him towards his back. The Tigers' wrestler took injury time, and Simaz rode him out for the rest of the period. Simaz chose to start the third down, and Haynes was holding on tight. Simaz got to his feet and dumped his opponent to the mat and quickly jumped to get the reversal. With riding time, Simaz won a 7-2 decision for his third win of the day and second victory over a ranked opponent. Simaz's victory secured the team win for the Big Red.

At heavyweight, Taylor Moore saw his first action of the day against No. 8 Dom Bradley. The Tigers' heavyweight won a 13-4 major decision over the Cornell wrestler.
