NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Rick Pflasterer made a pair of saves to help lead the Cornell men's soccer team to a scoreless tie against Columbia on Saturday night at the Columbia Soccer Stadium in New York, N.Y. The contest was the season finale for the Big Red, which ended the year with a 4-8-5 overall record and a 0-5-2 mark in Ivy League action.

Cornell finished the night with five shots, with Columbia taking eight attempts at the goal during the match. Columbia (6-8-3, 2-3-2 Ivy) goalkeeper Alexander Aurrichio made one save, with his replacement, Michael Attal making one stop and the Lion defense being credited with a third stop on the night.

Aurrichio was sent off for a tackle outside the Columbia penalty area with 9:45 to play in regulation, but Cornell could not get the game-winner, despite playing with 11 men to Columbia's 10. Cornell had the better part of play in the second half and overtime, out-shooting the Lions, 5-3, over that span, and collecting seven corner kicks to Columbia's three.
