NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- No. 6 seed Cornell won matches at the third and eighth positions on the ladder, but No. 3 Rochester was too much for the Big Red in a 7-2 decision on Friday afternoon in the quarterfinals of the Potter Cup at the 2010 CSA Intercollegiate championships. The Big Red will meet No. 7 Dartmouth in the consolation rounds on Saturday at 6 p.m. in the tournament, being held by Yale.

Cornell's Arjun Gupta claimed victory at No. 3 over Hameed Ahmed by a score of 4-11, 11-6, 12-10, 11-7, while Christopher Vernick earned a 11-7,8-11,11-9,11-8,11-6 triumph at No. 8.
