THE MATCHUP – For the last weekend of the season, the Big Red (16-7, 3-2) will travel to Princeton (8-11, 4-1) on Friday, April 16, before playing host to Penn (11-8, 1-4) on Sunday, April 18. Cornell will take on the Tigers at the Lenz Tennis Center at 2:00 p.m., while the match with the Quakers will take place at the Reis Tennis Center at noon. Cornell enters the weekend with a chance at winning its first conference title since official Ivy League play began in 1956.

SO WHAT'S THE SCENARIO – In order for Cornell to win the Ivy League, the Big Red will need to win both its games this weekend and receive a little help from Princeton and Columbia, who currently sit in first place in the league standings with identical records of 4-1. In order to win the crown outright, Cornell would need to win both its matches this weekend and have both Princeton and Columbia lose their final two outings. The Big Red can share the title with the Tigers and the Lions if Cornell sweeps, while the others split their weekend series. If Columbia defeats both Penn and Princeton, it will win the title outright, regardless of Cornell's performance.

THE SERIES VS. PRINCETON – Cornell and Princeton first met in 1906. Princeton currently leads the series, 86-6-1, but the Big Red earned a 5-2 victory last season.

SCOUTING THE TIGERS – The Tigers are currently 4-1 in the Ivy League. Last weekend they fell to Harvard but found a victory over Dartmouth. Against Harvard only partners Alex Faust and Matija Pecotic saw a win in the doubles matches. For the win over Dartmouth, Princeton earned the doubles point in the No. 2 and No. 3 spots. For the singles matches, the Tigers had wins in the No. 2, No. 5 and No. 6 spots.

LAST TIME VS. PRINCETON – The Big Red competed against the Tigers in February earning a 7-0 win at the 2010 ECAC Division I Indoor Tennis Championship. Cornell swept the singles matches and lost in only the No. 1 spot for the doubles matches, but still earned the doubles point.

THE SERIES VS. PENN - Cornell and Penn first met in 1906. Penn currently leads the series 44-33-1, but the Big Red picked up the 4-3 victory last season.

SCOUTING THE QUAKERS – Despite winning its first eight matches of the spring season, the Quakers have struggled lately, losing three straight, and falling in six of its last seven. This past weekend, Penn lost to Dartmouth and then was swept by Harvard. In its match against the Big Green, Penn's lone victory came at No. 2 spot.

LAST TIME VS. PENN – With its 4-3 victory over Penn, the Big Red closed out the 2009 season with an impressive four-match winning streak. By going 5-2 in the Ivy League, with both losses coming in 4-3 heartbreakers, the Big Red finished second in the Ancient Eight behind Columbia. It also finished 14-5 overall, with four of the five losses coming against ranked opponents.

LAST TIME OUT FOR CORNELL – Last weekend, Cornell fell to Yale, 5-2, receiving only the doubles point and a victory in the No. 5 singles match. On Saturday, the Big Red found a win at Brown by earning the doubles point and taking four of the singles matches, winning in the No. 1, No. 2, No. 5 and No. 6 spots.
