Box Score HANOVER, N.H. – The Big Red women's soccer team held Dartmouth to just four shots on goal Saturday, but came away empty handed in a 1-0 defeat to close out the season.

Ally Dutton scored the game's only goal in the 31st minute, tapping in a pass from Libby Hamlin from close range to lift Dartmouth (4-12, 2-5 Ivy League). Colleen Hogan made three saves for the shutout.

Cornell (2-13-1, 0-5-1 Ivy) had all of the game's four corner kicks, including one by junior forward Xandra Hompe that freshman forward Kerry Schubert directed toward goal that required a Hogan save in the first half. Schubert and junior Maneesha Chitanvis had the Big Red's other two shots on target.

Senior goalkeeper Kelly Murphy started for Cornell, making two saves before giving way to classmate Megan Bartlett for the second half. Bartlett stopped the only other shot toward Cornell's goal.

The game wrapped up the season for Cornell, which bids farewell to head coach Danielle LaRoche's first recruiting class. Bartlett, Murphy, forward Brook Chang, midfielder Abigail Apistolas, and defenders Sidra Bonner and Abageal Vonderweidt all played their final games in a Big Red uniform.
