CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Despite wins at the top of the lineup from Nicholas Sachvie and Alex Domenick, the Cornell men's squash team dropped a 7-2 decision to Rochester on Friday in the quarterfinals of the Potter Cup in Cambridge, Mass.
Sachvie and Domenick both claimed five-set wins in their matches, but the Big Red could not secure the five points needed to advance.
Thomas Spettigue dropped a five-set match at number three, while McKay Claghorn and
Arjun Gupta both fell in four sets.
The Big Red returns to action in the consolation bracket, taking on Franklin & Marshall in a 3 p.m. matchup on Saturday.
