ITHACA, N.Y. -- The cornell women's polo team will continue to challenge itself in the fall portion of its schedule when it plays host to Kentucky on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 7:30 p.m. at Oxley Equestrian Center.

The Big Red, currently at 2-0 on the young season, are coming off a 13-12 shootout win at reigning national champion Virginia last weekend. Cornell opened the season with a dominant 37-1 win over Massachusetts two weekends ago at Oxley. With the victories, head coach David Eldredge has improved his all-time record to (426-119-17, .773).

Cornell will be facing the last team other than itself or Virginia to win a national title, as Kentucky took home the 2010 crown. The two teams met once last season, with the Wildcats earning a 19-18 shootout victory in the final of the Bill Field Invitational.
