ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell women's polo team dominated the first half and cruised to a 26-7 win over Kentucky on Saturday evening at Oxley Equestrian Center. The Big Red improved to 3-0 win the victory.

Ali Hoffman, Kailey Eldredge and Anna Winslow started for the Big Red and got things rolling quickly, taking leads of 9-0 after the first chukker and 18-1 at the half. Devin Cox subbed for Anna in the second before the horses aided Kentucky by kicking in the first Wildcat goal. The strong first half would end Eldredge's night with seven goals and Hoffman's with four goals as they would give way to the return of Anna and Beth Lebow for the second half. The Big Red continued to build their lead, winning the third 4-1 and extending its lead to 22-2. The fourth was Kentucky's best chukker as Cornell got into little foul trouble. The Big Red lost the chukker, but won the game 26-7. Cox finished with six goals, Winslow had four, LeBow notched two and the horses tallied three for the night.
